I have a few major passions….writing, children (especially babies), and photography.
I do not however, have any education in photography.
I have been told many times I have a gift not only with children (many years as a nanny etc), but especially capturing them in candid shots that people love. I truly love it and the children respond well to me when I am taking pictures.
When I write, I write cute captions on websites, and would like to incorporate more (journals, notes to relatives etc). My true gift…is the written word.
I’m not sure if it’s worth it to learn scrapbooking?
I need to know the following:
With a digital camera, is a photography class or certificate definitely necessary?
What is the best digital camera to buy (under $1000).
Where do professional photographers print their actual portraits for their customers?
If you have any ideas, experience or any information….they are terrifically appreciated!

I have recently started experimening in potaiture and while the sketches are great, I am having trouble making them look like the person I am drawing…children are especially hard…any tips to help me capture people’s likenesses? Thanks very much!
Is this when your subject is in the sun and you don’t want the subject underexposed? Can reflectors do the same thing? What happens if you use Fillin flash when you don’t need it? Thanks

The Victorians had no computers but imagine what they could have done if they had. Why cant the children today be as smart as them?
When i m older i wanna be a wedding photographer … i was looking into photojournalism but i went against it . Even though i m young i wanna decide what my goal is in life . I want to go to Hartford University in Connecticut it is a very popular school from what i heard . I know that i could probaly work for a wedding planner but what if i cant find a job … i want a very small bisiness what are some tools that i would need . Do u have any tips .

I am keen on making a portrait of a celebrity. Please suggest some names whose faces are most suitable for black and white charcoal portraits on paper.
I am needing a good all around lens, but I also take a lot of photos of family and children. Some portraits and a lot of babies. I have a Nikon DSLR, the baby D40. Any advice?
I am really into photojournalism and unique shots. Would appreciate any recommendations.
